Overview

TrackR ("we", "our", or "the app") is a motorsports data logging application for drag racers. This privacy policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

• Car name, year, make, and model
• Run data (elapsed times, reaction times, dial-ins)
• Setup and configuration data
• Notes about your runs

This information is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.

Camera

TrackR requests camera access solely to scan timeslip photos using optical character recognition (OCR). Photos are processed and immediately discarded — they are never stored on our servers.

Anonymous Performance Data (Optional)

With your permission, TrackR collects anonymous run data to improve ET prediction accuracy for all users. This includes:

• Elapsed time and density altitude pairs
• Calculated wind component (not raw speed or direction)
• Engine type category (NA, nitrous, supercharged, or turbocharged)
• Predicted vs. actual ET difference
• Track distance (1/8 or 1/4 mile)
• Weather tier

This data cannot be used to identify you. We do not collect your name, car identity, NHRA/IHRA number, exact location, or any personal information.

You can opt out at any time in Settings → Data & Privacy.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• Your name or contact information (unless you choose to provide it in your profile)
• Precise location (GPS is used only to fetch local weather and is never stored or transmitted)
• Opponent information
• Photos or timeslip images
• Any information that could identify you or your vehicle

How We Use Information

• Anonymous run data is used solely to improve ET prediction accuracy
• No data is sold to third parties
• No data is used for advertising

Data Storage

All personal data is stored locally on your device using SQLite. We do not operate a user account system. Anonymous telemetry data is transmitted to secure AWS infrastructure in the United States.

Children's Privacy

TrackR is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
